Welcome to Bayou's review blog.
This blog will be filled with my reviews of books, movies, etc.
But keep in mind that the reviews will be total subjective from my point of view.
So, I might use rude words to describe something I hate,
and perhaps too exaggerate things I love.
I also putting some fanarts of books, games, movies here.
I hope you can enjoy visiting and lurking around this blog.

I'm giving full compliment for the animation. It was ultimate awesomeness with the beautiful animation and great 3D effect. I love how the owls look, they all look cute [my favorite is Eglentine with her baby feathers]. Everything was made for eye candy, the scenes, environment, and all. Nothing flaw about it. The slow motion in some scenes made it looked more dramatic. it wasn't surprising because the director was Zack Snyder, the one who directed 300.
However, as for the story, I rate it just so-so. Compressing from 3 books, it was quite satisfying even though there were so many details that weren't inserted. But the story itself isn't as disappointing because it was meant for children. As for adult, especially for those who often read books or watch movies, the storyline was very easy to predict.
But like I always said, I rate movie with 3 things; Great story-lines, Entertaining, and Moral message. If the storyline isn't great, at least it was entertaining, and if it wasn't, try to find the moral message. And in this movie, at least there's 2 things were fulfilled; it was entertaining and have moral message.
Overall, it was a quite satisfying movie and recommended to watch. Better if you watch the 3D because it was worth it! Trust me! ^^
